There was a time in my life where I literally would have died if the government ordered me to go to war for them. I anxiously awaited my 18th birthday so that I could sign up for the reserves. This was not a decision reached out of logic or reason or research. It was purely based off of propaganda, lies, and sheer indoctrination. The government played off my emotions and continues to play off the emotions of millions of others. Thousands have died for the sake of patriotism. Had I not woken up in time, I could have been one of those people. Or worse, I could have been the one doing the killing. It sickens me. I want everyone to realize the severity of this disease. Patriotism is truly an issue of LIFE and DEATH.
